2018 ABS Fellowship Applications are Now Being Accepted!
Nominees for ABS Fellowship will be limited to individuals who have been active members of the ABS for a minimum of 15 years (time as in-training member is not counted toward 15 years requirement), with 10 years or more years of significant service to ABS at the Board, Committee, Working Group, Task Force or organizational level. Service will be measured in total over the entire length of membership, with the minimum level of service being a total of 10 "person-years". For example, service on the Membership Committee for three years, the Board for three years, a Working Group for two years, and a task force for two years would give a total of ten years. The period of service can be overlapping.
The nominee will be evaluated in one or more of the following pathways; research, patient care, education or leadership/service. It is not necessary for nominees to have qualifications in all the pathways; one is sufficient. Nominees are encouraged to list all activities in all categories for Committee review. Meeting these criteria does not guarantee that a nominee will be granted Fellowship.
Please send your application along with a cover letter. The cover letter must outline the nominee's contribution to the field of brachytherapy and clearly establish the scope and significance of the nominee's accomplishments. The cover letter should be limited to two pages. Completed applications, including all supporting documentation, an updated curriculum vitae and cover letter (in word or pdf file),is to be sent by email by December 1st, 2017 to:
