The preliminary program information is now available for the 3rd World Rectal Conference on Organ Preserving Perspectives which will take place in Montreal, Quebec, April 30 - May 2, 2015 at the Centre Mont-Royal. The conference will highlight all the different aspects of organ preserving treatment in rectal cancer. It is aimed at multidisciplinary teams working in the field all over the world. We aim to create an informal atmosphere and encourage the participants to join in interactive case discussions. There will also be opportunities to propose and discuss new trials. At the end of the conference, participants will take home a thorough knowledge of all the latest ideas about the treatment of early rectal cancers.
This meeting will offer the opportunity to discuss with world-renowned expert surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, GI and GI radiologists on less invasive treatment approaches for patients with rectal cancer. TEM surgery, definition of complete responders after neoadjuvant treatment, watch and wait strategy, frontier line targeted radiation and new clinical trials will be presented from European, North and South American research leaders. Socio-economic perspectives will be discussed and a pelvic MRI workshop will be offered by world-renowned Radiologists. This is a unique opportunity to learn of the present controversies in the world of personalized medicine.
This event is accredited as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, approved by Continuing Education and Professional Development and is also a recommended event from the ESSO. The CME/CPD certificate will be available after completing the on-line evaluation and credit claiming procedure.
