LDR Penile Brachytherapy

Interstitial LDR technique for a lesion covering the majority of the glans. This implant uses 4 planes of 3 needles. Two planes bracket the urethra and the 2 lateral planes are external to the glans.

This video shows the technique for interstitial LDR pulse dose rate brachytherapy for a squamous carcinoma at the urethral meatus. The implant uses 4 needles in a 2x2 array with 2 inserted in tissue deep to the lesion and 2 distal to the end of the penis.
